ABOUT US

Launched under the leadership of the Paris-based international law firm Lazareff Le Bars, our website emerged from our commitment to further advance arbitration as an effective means to resolving disputes throughout the world.

With the expansion and globalization of cross-border investment and trade, international arbitration is increasingly a preferred option for matters involving complex commercial relationships between businesses, investors and states. The international community is ever more embracing arbitration for the advantages it can have over the courtroom, including the enforceability of the ultimate decision, avoiding long drawn out proceedings and minimizing costs. The continuous advancement of arbitral practices across the globe is also generating positive economic benefits for states perceived as “arbitration friendly”.

The aim of our website is to provide practical resources on international arbitration, as well as provide insightful reasoning on different international arbitration issues effecting practitioners today. Our blog reflects the experience and perspectives of specialists whose extensive knowledge of different jurisdictions and arbitral forums worldwide allows them to put forward new solutions, influence innovative thinking, and ultimately advance the practice of international arbitration around the globe.

Visitors can also use our website to identify practitioners in our non-exclusive network of independent international firms and arbitration practitioners. We assist clients to define sound strategies and provide representation that is tailored to their specific situation and goals. Collectively, we have spent decades litigating and arbitrating, and have a unique track record of successfully representing clients in high stake and sensitive arbitration matters. Our lawyers have thorough knowledge of all phases of the arbitral process and extensive experience with all the major arbitral institutions.

The lawyers of our network represent a diversity of legal and cultural backgrounds, and act in a broad range of roles, including as counsel, arbitrator, mediator, lawyer and expert. Our professionals are also recognized for their expertise in leading legal directories, including Chambers, Legal 500 and GAR 100.
